Like some of you reading this, I find it daunting to start a new hobby, join a new sports club or embark on a new venture. Why? The sense of excitement, the gut feel that I need to do this thing, is balanced with the trepidation of the unknown. What if they don't like me, what if I'm no good, what if I fail, what if I succeed? The reality is that none of these questions matter and no one cares.

At least, the people that are reading this are already on my team and want me to win! This can be said for most arenas of life; whether you join a new netball team, pitch to investors, turn up for the job interview; the people in that environment want you to the the next star player on their team, want to invest into your business and want to hire you for the job! The largest proportion of our society loves the underdog story, we want each other to win!

We can all fall foul of letting past experiences of when we failed and made a fool of ourselves curtail our ambitions, dampen our spirit and leave our God given talents unexploited. This is the great savagery of our species, the devolution of our time. With an abundance of resources at our finger tips, we cannot let the fake world of social media and the fear of digital ostracism preclude us from sharing what we think, our dreams and our ambitious plans to improve our world.

In these divided and uncertain times, we need to call upon the optimists, the glass hall full brigade, the entrepreneurs, the pioneers, the people that choose a life of service to others and not to themselves. For we are the many and we seek change whilst honouring our heritage.

I will be sharing my adventure of building my mission focussed businesses Elate and Cross Digital and aim to help you on your journey. I will document my experiences in an effective, compelling and useful way.
