Seasons Change

As seasons, technologies and fashions change, one thing won’t — the need for caring people. I am in awe of the commitment of care workers, enablers, managers and the wider care sector, who give so much to ensure our loved ones receive dignified care. We are all but one unfortunate life event away from needing care. The chances are that our grandparents, parents and indeed us will need support at some point in our lives.
Helping care providers to operate effectively is at least about self preservation but beyond this it should be because they are the best of us, they are called to serve in the most humane way possible. They deserve our gratitude and love.
I get the opportunity to show my appreciation to the people who work in the care sector every day. I love listening to their stories, understanding their pain points, needs and wants. Then pouring this insight into co-designing digital tools with them to make delivering care easier, more personalised and empowering.
At the South West Care awards we got to embrace and acknowledge some of the best people in our region and let our hair down (me metaphorically of course). It was an awesome event which my girlfriend and I enjoyed every minute of; we look forward to next year!
